We stayed for two nights to see the Apr 2024 solar eclipse. Parking was adequate even considering the high occupancy for the eclipse and the breakfast was adequate, but no fresh fruit at all. We paid for breakfast elsewhere on the second morning of our stay. Room was OK, but not especially clean. There was thick dust on top of some parts of the bathroom fixtures/shelving (maybe the cleaning staff is too short to see it?). Both the sink and the tub/shower were very slow draining, but not so much that we wanted to bother with a call for service (but both should be serviced! The maid must notice this!). The climate control on the wall seemed inoperative, but could be controlled directly at the unit under the window. The hotel shows quite a bit of wear and is in need of a general refresh. The lobby always had decent free coffee, which was a plus. I brought two days of gym gear to keep up with my exercise routine, but the exercise room was terrible so I only used it the first morning. Several weights of dumbbells appear to be missing with nothing in the middle range - only lighter and heavier. Max weight 45 lbs. The equipment and exercise room in general was filthy - walls, floors, windows, and equipment. The water cooler had cups but no jug on it so no water. No towels either. The equipment seemed rusty and did not operate smoothly. This may be because it is located off the very strong smelling pool room. I know from experience (I had a pool shed where I stored chlorine) that chlorine fumes can cause rust in a confined space. Frankly this was one of the most terrible exercise rooms I've seen in any hotel anywhere.

Can't judge a book by its cover.

We booked this hotel for a night and we were skeptical when first arriving . But like they always say, you can't judge a book by its cover. When we walked through the front doors into the lobby , it was very nice . The service manager was absolutely amazing and very helpful . He allowed us to check in early and went above and beyond with anything else we needed . If we ever find ourselves back in Watertown for the night, we will be booking here for sure.

Came here because my sin was returning from deployment. Pros: close to historic downtown. The food in town was delicious. Cons: The bathtub didn't drain and, after several requests, still not drained. The hotel website advertised a restaurant and bar on-site. Upon check-in, we were informed both closed in August 2023. Also, do not expect room to be even gently cleaned. You have to read the fine print at check-in to know that you have to request that service. Also, I heard several other visitors complain about items that didn't work in their rooms and were told "sorry," but there is nothing we can do. While the staff were very friendly, they could only work with what they have and apparently it's not much.

I have been staying at this hotel when I visit Watertown for the past 30 years. It is definitely tired and needs some attention across the board. The common corridors and stairs need to be painted and new carpet, our second floor hall had a very strong odor. The restaurant/bar sadly went out of business last fall and per the signs posted on their main ballroom door it has been condemned by the building department. The pool area could use an extensive cleaning as there is mold all over. The first day we had towels but the second day there were no towels for us to use. The breakfast has been better, there were fruit flies all inside the cabinet holding the muffins and bagels. Nothing we tried was very appetizing to my family. This hotel has been are go to hotel for years, but I think we will be staying elsewhere until they renovate.

This hotel is in a perfect location, a two minute walk to downtown and a five minute drive to all the shopping and restaurants of Arsenal Street. The facility is clean and well maintained, but a little dated in some areas. We stayed in #215 overlooking the large spacious parking lot, and our room was very clean and quiet, with a fantastic bed and good pillows. Josh at the front desk made us feel welcome and gave us excellent advice on local restaurant dinner options. Josh is THE MAN!!! The complimentary breakfast was delicious and definitely better than most hotel breakfast offerings; two varieties of eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles, toast- you get the picture. The gentleman staffing the breakfast area was very friendly and efficient. All the food was fresh, hot and replenished often. Very clean. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
